Remodel Project Leads

Wes
Wes has been in the carpentry industry for 30 years and thoroughly enjoys his craft, with a particular passion for finish carpentry. He values integrity and relational courtesy in both his work and personal life, believing these principles are key to successful relationships. In his free time, Wes enjoys both saltwater and freshwater kayaking.
Brock
Brock has been in the carpentry industry for 15 years and takes great pride in delivering high quality work with a fine-tuned attention to detail. He values God, his family, and his craft, which motivates him to strive for excellence in every project. In his free time, Brock enjoys spending time with his family and with nature, frequently going fishing and hiking.
Socrat
Socrat has a passion for all kinds of woodworking, using his creative side to design and build projects. He deeply enjoys problem-solving and is driven by the challenge of accomplishing difficult tasks. With several years of experience, he owned a construction company in Lebanon before working as a project and production manager for a large event company in Dubai. In his free time, Socrat loves driving into the mountains and spending time around a fire.
Eric
Eric has been in the carpentry industry for 35 years, and has always found fulfillment in earning his clients’ trust and seeing their satisfaction upon project completion. Outside of work, Eric enjoys spending time on the water, soaking up the summer sun, and engaging in various sports. He also has a passion for cooking and baking, often experimenting with new recipes in his free time.

Paint Project Leads

Adolfo
Adolfo has been in the painting industry for 8 years and takes great joy in returning a beautifully finished home to the homeowner, knowing that his hard work has brought their vision to fruition. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his family and enjoys fishing in the outdoors, embracing the peacefulness of nature.
Javier

Javier is passionate about helping others, whether it’s family, friends, or those in need. He actively participates in community service projects, offering his painting skills to local nonprofits, which provides immense satisfaction and connects him with like-minded individuals. With a wide variety of experience, he has honed his skills in surface preparation and color selection, developing a keen eye for detail in both interior and exterior painting. Outside of work, Javier explores his creativity through custom furniture projects, which not only allow him to express himself but also deepen his appreciation for the artistry involved in renovations and nature.

Jose is a social butterfly – he gets along with everyone and the chances of him running into familiar faces whenever he’s out-and-about are high. He loves to crack jokes and is always laughing. He enjoys going outside and doing whatever comes to mind, whether it be going for a drive, fishing, or playing soccer.

Michele

Michele has been an integral part of Tenhulzen since 2009, contributing her extensive expertise in finance, human resources, and business management. With a passion for continuous improvement, she is dedicated to refining processes and nurturing relationships within the company. Outside of work, Michele enjoys exploring the beautiful waters of the Pacific Northwest, spending time with her husband, children, and grandchild, and spreading joy through laughter, love and creativity.

Matt

Matt is passionate about helping people transform their homes into spaces they’ve always dreamed of. With experience, working his way up from a Level 1 painter to his current role as an NKBA Certified Sales/Estimator at Tenhulzen, he has developed a deep understanding of the craft. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his dog, camping, staying fit, and exploring new ideas.

Growing up in a family of tradesmen, Roy developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship at an early age. Some of his fondest memories are of following his dad around the carpenter shop, watching projects come to life from raw materials. That early exposure sparked a lifelong passion for the home improvement industry.

For over 25 years, Roy has worked in the home remodeling sector, combining his love for building with a natural talent for relationship-building and sales. He’s had the privilege of consulting with homeowners on a wide range of projects, helping them bring their visions to life with clarity, care, and craftsmanship.

What drives Roy every day is the opportunity to connect with clients, understand their goals, and guide them through the remodeling process with transparency and trust. Even after decades in the field, he still finds joy in every conversation and every project that begins with a dream and ends with a beautifully finished space.

Sadie
With a foundation in accounting & finance, Sadie has a diverse career and background. She began her journey by working for a CPA & waitressing to put herself through community college for accounting. Since then, she’s gained experience across multiple industries, always driven by a commitment to financial accuracy and integrity. When she is not working, she love’s taking long walks on the beach with her three dogs, enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
Anna

Anna’s versatile background began with pouring the perfect latte and shifted into marketing, administration, and finance. Passionate about small businesses and local communities, she believes they are the backbone of society and enjoys contributing to their success. Outside of work, she loves spending quality time with family and friends, exploring the great outdoors while camping, exercising, and diving into a good book.

Spanning over two decades, Tiffany has gained experience in a variety of industries; all of which have emphasized outstanding customer service. She is passionate about providing an excellent experience to clients.  She greatly values teamwork and collaborating with her colleagues. In her free time, Tiffany enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time with her two huskies.

Scott

Scott Tenhulzen, CEO

Scott grew up in Redmond, Washington, immersed in the construction industry through the family business of his parents. As the son of Pat and Jack Tenhulzen, he developed a strong foundation in craftsmanship and business integrity. In 2000, Scott launched his business, turning a part-time endeavor into a respected company in the Seattle area. He is passionate about cultivating trust and cooperation among his team, fostering long-term relationships with clients and partners in the industry.

When he’s not leading his team and overseeing client projects, Scott enjoys listening to great music, maintaining his chops on the drums, boating, traveling and spending time with family and friends. He loves exploring the Pacific Northwest’s beautiful waterways. Known for his love of good food, Scott never passes up the opportunity to bring people together by firing up his smoker trailer at the company office grounds. He’s passionate about being an active member of the local community in Mill Creek Rotary, Mill Creek Chamber of Commerce, serving as current past president of the Washington Painting Contractors Association, on the board of trustees for the Everett Yacht Club and collaborating on various charitable projects around the community, which you can see on our community page.

Community Contributions

We believe that a company’s success is reflected by the health of the community that surrounds it. Our team actively participates in at least one charitable project per year to give back to the community that has given us so much. We welcome collaboration ideas and suggestions for future projects, especially from local nonprofits in need of home renovation or painting services.
Heron-Park Community Service Project

Heron Park Mill Creek

As home renovation contractors in Mill Creek, we partnered with Mill Creek Rotary, Dunn Lumber, and the Heron Park HOA to rebuild the aging bridges on the park’s walking trails. These bridges, originally built by Mill Creek’s Rotary Club founders, were revitalized with a Tenhulzen touch, showcasing our commitment to preserving and enhancing community spaces.

Peoria Home

Our indoor painting services in Monroe were showcased through a partnership with Mill Creek Rotary and various local suppliers to transform a transitional space for survivors of human trafficking. The project involved siding repairs, interior and exterior painting, and other enhancements, creating a welcoming and functional environment.
cocoon house community service project

Cocoon House

In partnership with Sherwin Williams, we dedicated 12 hours to re-varnish the kitchen floor at Cocoon House, a shelter for youth living on the streets in Everett. The epoxy application restored the floor’s durability and appearance, creating a clean, welcoming space.
